Thor: Love and Thunder – Thor and Jane Foster ready to fight in the new image

Thor: Love and Thunder is the next big Marvel movie that fans await with religious patience. After the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the controversial reactions from audiences and critics, fans await the release – in July – of the fourth chapter of the Thor saga, the God of Thunder played by Chris Hemsworth . The villain planned for the next film is Gorr The Godbutcher, played by the great method actor Christian Bale. 

The film will be directed by director Taika Waititi, who has become a legend thanks to his total reboot of the Thor franchise. Thor: Ragnarok is in fact the film starring the God of Thunder that has had the greatest success with critics and audiences. In Thor: Love and Thunder, the news will be many and the surprises even more.

The first teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder showed fans a first glimpse of the new hero played by Natalie Portman, known by those who followed the franchise as the former love interest of the mighty God. However, Jane suffered a great deal makeover, becoming the cinematic equivalent of a very popular story among comics fans, that is, plays the role of the superhero The Mighty Thor.

In the trailer, Jane wields a put-together version of Mjolnir and displays a physique truly worthy of the new Thunder God! A new image, released by Marvel Studios, shows the two Thor ready for battle, in costume! The two are truly a formidable couple and seem ready to face the dangerous Gorr!

As seen at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor will spend time with the Guardians of the Galaxy before returning to New Asgard. Not much is known about the personal arc that the God of Thunder will face, but one thing is clear from the trailer: Love and Thunder will be for him a journey towards healing, after the traumatic events in the Infinity saga. 

Speaking to AP, director Taika Waititi revealed that Thor will be going through “a midlife crisis”. The director didn’t go into details, but his comments suggest that the film will continue to explore the characterization of the Asgardian prince as he decides what his true calling is.
