Madame Web Movie Trailer: Sony has released the first official trailer for Madame Web, the long-awaited film with Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney, as well as the next live-action chapter of the characters from the Spider-Man universe in the hands of Sony Pictures, after the release of Venom with Tom Hardy (2018), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Morbius with Jared Leto (2022).

Dakota Johnson plays Cassandra Webb, a clairvoyant character known as Madame Web. In Marvel comics, the woman has psychic abilities related to the world of spiders. Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney plays Julia Carpenter, who takes on the role of Spider-Woman in the comics. The cast also includes Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, Celeste O'Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps and Zosia Mamet.

Madame Web movie will hit theaters in 2024

Madame Web is the origin story of one of Marvel Comics' most enigmatic heroines. Dakota Johnson plays the protagonist, Cassandra Webb, a Manhattan paramedic with clairvoyant powers. Forced to confront revelations from her past, she forms a bond with three young women destined for an extraordinary future but who must survive a present full of threats.

The Sony/Marvel lineup also includes the third Venom film, expected in theaters on July 12, 2024, and the Kraven the Hunter film with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, expected on August 30, 2024. There is also El Muerto with Bad Bunny and the new animated chapter Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Madame Web – Sony's first comic book adaptation featuring a female protagonist – was directed by SJ Clarkson (Jessica Jones and The Defenders). Matt Sazama, Kerem Sazama, and Burk Sharpless wrote the screenplay, with Adam Merim serving as executive producer. The film will arrive in US theaters on February 14, 2024. At the moment Sony Pictures has not confirmed the Italian release date.
