The Fall Guy Movie Trailer: Barbie star Ryan Gosling – expected to receive an Oscar nomination – stars in David Leitch's new film The Fall Guy, in which he stars as Colt, a stuntman forced back to work for Barbie's directorial debut his ex-girlfriend (played by Emily Blunt), alongside the movie star (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) for whom he was a stunt double. In short, an explosive plot judging from this first official trailer!
David Leitch is famous for action comedies such as Bullet Train, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2, as well as the spin-off Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. The new film is inspired by the hit 1980s TV series of the same name. The screenplay is by Drew Pearce (Hobbs & Shaw).
The official synopsis of The Fall Guy reveals that a former stuntman returns to action when the star of a new film disappears. He is a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot at, thrown through windows, and dropped from considerable heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh from an accident that nearly ended his career, this working-class hero must track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy, and try to win back the love of his life while continuing to pursue his career. Work. What could go wrong?
The Fall Guy Movie Synopsis:
Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, after leaving the business a year earlier to focus on his physical and mental health, is called back into service when the star of a big-budget film - directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Emily Blunt – disappears.
As the film's ruthless producer (Hannah Waddingham) tries to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt pulls off the film's craziest stunts as he tries (with little success) to return in the good graces of the ex. But as the mystery surrounding the missing star deepens, Colt becomes entangled in a sinister criminal plot that will push him to the brink of a fall more dangerous than any of his previous stunts.
Also starring are Winston Duke and Stephanie Hsu. It should be noted that Gosling has already played a stuntman, in Drive by Nicolas Winding Refn.
The Fall Guy hits theaters in March 2024.
