Knuckles: A few years ago it was difficult to imagine a good film based on video games, the operation seemed impossible, but then Sonic arrived to turn the situation around. he exceeded all expectations, even bringing Jim Carrey out of retirement to make a third film. The cinematic universe of the world’s most famous hedgehog continues to grow, and now it’s Knuckles’ turn with his television series!

Paramount and Sega join forces again to continue expanding the Sonic cinematic universe, this time it’s Knuckles’ turn.

Knuckles has already debuted in Sonic 2 with the voice of Idris Elba, but now the actor will wear the red echidna “costume” again for a television series. Titled Knuckles, it will arrive directly in streaming and will consist of six episodes. It will be available to watch via Paramount+ starting April 27.

The series will theoretically be set between the events of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, which hits theaters on December 20. They will focus on Knuckles training Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) to become an Echidna Warrior.

In addition to having Idris Elba back in the voice cast, there will also be a cameo from Ben Schwartz and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Sonic and Tails. It has also been confirmed that the Knuckles cast will include Christopher Lloyd, Cary Elwes, Paul Scheer, Rory McCann, and Rob Huebel, although their roles have not yet been confirmed.
