Kung Fu Panda 4: Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation released the new commercial for Kung Fu Panda 4, yet another chapter of the successful animated saga dedicated to the most famous of the “bungling fighters”. For the occasion, the ticket presale campaign was also launched, just as reported in the tweet below.
Kung Fu Panda 4 Movie:
Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, Shrek Happily Ever After) and produced by Rebecca Huntley (DreamWorks Animation’s Too Bad). The film’s co-director is Stephanie Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power). In 2008, the franchise’s first installment, the Oscar®-nominated Kung Fu Panda, became DreamWorks Animation’s highest-grossing original animated film and launched a franchise that has earned more than $1.8 billion. dollars at the global box office.
After defying death in three incredible adventures defeating world-famous enemies with his extraordinary courage and his crazy martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Jack Black, Golden Globe nominee), is called by destiny to… give us a cut. He is in fact entrusted with the task of becoming the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace.
However, this leads to a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he must seek out and train a new Dragon Warrior as soon as possible before he can assume his new and prestigious position.
As if that wasn’t enough, an evil and powerful crime lord was recently spotted, Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a small lizard capable of transforming into any creature, large or small. Chameleon has her eye on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to awaken from the spirit realm all the villains Po has defeated.
Po therefore needs help. She’ll find it (sort of?) in the thief Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a privateer fox who really drives Po crazy, but whose skills will prove invaluable. In an attempt to protect the Valley of Peace from Chameleon’s reptilian claws, this comical odd couple will have to join forces. Meanwhile, Po will discover that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
The film features the storied voices of Academy Award® winner Dustin Hoffman as kung fu master Shifu; James Hong (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Po’s adoptive father, Mr. Ping; Academy Award®-nominated Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father Li, and Emmy®-nominated Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and archenemy. Oscar® winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) joins the ensemble in the role of a new character, Han, the leader of the Den of Thieves.
Kung Fu Panda 4 will be in theaters starting March 21, 2024.
