The Fall Guy, the long-awaited new film starring Ryan Gosling, returns to show itself with a new exciting commercial released in the last few hours by Universal Pictures.
In the film directed by David Leitch, we will see Gosling in the role of a stuntman forced to work on the first film directed… by his girlfriend. However, the reckless protagonist will soon find himself entangled in events more risky than he can imagine. You can find more details on the plot in the official synopsis of the film, which reads as follows:
Colt Seavers is a battle-scarred stuntman who, after leaving the profession a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is called back into service when the star of a mega-budget film directed by his ex, Jody Moreno disappears. As the film’s ruthless producer moves to keep star Tom Ryder’s disappearance a secret from both the studio and the media, Colt pulls off the film’s most spectacular stunts while attempting (with limited success) to get back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery surrounding the missing star continues to deepen, Colt will find himself trapped in a sinister criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt he has ever pulled in his career.
Directed by David Leitch (Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, Hobbs & Shaw) and written by Drew Pearce, the film is based on the series of the same name which arrived in 1981 and is known in our country under the title Profession Danger.
In the cast, in addition to Ryan Gosling in the role of the protagonist Colt Seavers, there will also be Emily Blunt in the role of Jody Moreno, Colt’s ex-girlfriend busy directing his first film; Winston Duke as Colt’s best friend and set stunt coordinator; Aaron Taylor-Johnson as action star Tom Ryder; Hannah Waddingham as Gail, Jody’s executive producer; and Stephanie Hsu as Ryder’s assistant. The cast is completed by Teresa Palmer, whose role has not yet been revealed, and Lee Majors, protagonist of the original series.
Produced by 87North Productions and Entertainment 360, and distributed by Universal Pictures, The Fall Guy will arrive in theaters on March 1, 2024.
