Siddharth Anand’s Fighter Movie Review: Hrithik Roshan’s latest movie Fighter stars as an Indian Air Force fighter jet pilot. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film stars Hrithik Roshan as Shamsher Pathania alias Patty. Deepika Padukone played the heroine opposite him. In the backdrop of the Pulwama attack in 2019, this film has created interest among all.
Apart from that, the trailer cut of this movie also raised more expectations. Moreover, Siddharth Anand, who directed War and Patan, has directed this film, so the expectations have doubled. One day before India’s 75th Republic Day, ie on January 25, Fighter was released. The fighter movie was released in 3D IMAX format. Now let’s see how the movie is in the review.
Fighter Movie Story:
Shamsher Pathania alias Patty (Hrithik Roshan) is an Air India fighter pilot. All the best fighter pilots in the country are summoned for a special posting at the Air Force Station in Srinagar. A special unit called Air Dragon is prepared. In it, Minni alias Meenal Rathore (Deepika Padukone) who is in her rank will be introduced.
On the other hand, a terrorist organization called Jaish will carry out a massive attack on CRPF jawans in the Pulwama area in India. To take revenge, the Indian Air Force destroys the training camps of the terrorist organization in Balakot, Pakistan, killing hundreds of militants. But in the later developments, a Sukhoi fighter plane accidentally crashed in Pakistan and the two pilots in it had to land in the park territory with the help of parachutes.
What did the Indian Air Force do to protect them? Why couldn’t they save their immediate party? Why was he sent to Hyderabad after that? At last, they were saved and brought to India or not? If you want to know about these things, you have to watch the movie.
Fighter Movie Analysis:
After seeing Siddharth Anand’s previous movies War and Pathan, there is a kind of expectation about this movie too… Besides, it is interesting that Hrithik Roshan is doing a movie like this after a long time and Deepika is acting opposite him. With Anil Kapoor, Vinay Varma, and Ashutosh Rana in other key roles, all movie lovers in general are interested in this movie.
Siddharth Anand directed this movie to increase that interest. In fact, there is an illusion that if films are made against Pakistan in India, they will play. But many filmmakers forget that if there is no content in the film, no one can do anything and they fail in front of the audience. But with a big star like Hrithik Roshan, Siddharth Anand directed a good patriotic commercial film.
Especially since the Indian Air Force is taken as the background, there are some doubts from the beginning about how this movie will be handled. But the director has played a game with amazing visuals dispelling those suspicions. The way human emotions are touched in this movie is good. In fact, when it comes to the plot of the movie, there is nothing new to say about it. The director has succeeded in bringing the routine story interestingly to the audience.
Like many movies that have already come out in Hindi, it was opened with the concept of how every Indian took revenge on Pakistan, which is considered as an enemy. While showing things like Pulwama Attacks and Balakot Air Strike, on the other hand, it seems that the movie has been dramatized by linking the matter of Abhinandan Vardhaman.
The plus point of the movie is the visuals which do not let you turn your eyes while watching the movie. But the screenplay feels awkward as it seems stretched. Some of the dialogues may seem over the top but will delight the Indian in us. The stunts performed by the Sukhoi fighter jets are amazing. Hats off to the director, action directors, and VFX artists in this regard.
Fighter Movie Actors:
Hrithik Roshan seems to be a one-man show as always. They have picturized it to make it seem like Manodu is just walking around doing nothing. Anil Kapoor’s experience was seen in many scenes. Vinay Varma, a Telugu actor, also acted impressively. Deepika Padukone also got the scope to act as an Air Force officer instead of a glamor role. And all the other actors have acted to the extent of their roles and impressed.
But the main villain, who appeared in the role of a terrorist, seemed strange for some reason, his performance was also so-so. Sachit Poulos’ cinematography is supreme when it comes to fighter technical aspects. Editor Arif Shaikh has given the film a pacey rhythm. Dance has little scope and it would be foolish to expect it. Siddharth Anand proved himself once again.
Finally: Fighter is an out-and-out commercial movie.
